Cherchez La Moose: Rusty's debut LP Fluke was one of the first albums that I ever bought. My favourite song on the album was California, so I was thrilled to find a video of the band performing it live...at Snow Job! I miss you, old MuchMusic. This song's lyrics are insane - it starts out sounding all romantic, until midway through verse one when Ken MacNeil sings "she moved down to LA, she met some dude ok....he sawed her head off with a knife." Wait, what?! Holy. How did I not realize that those were the lyrics when I was a kid? MacNeil's vocals were always the best thing about this band, and he sounds awesome in this video. I tried finding the official video for Misogyny, but it is nowhere to be found.
